Girls Princess Dress This dress was inspired by traditional victorian velvet dresses. Any little girl would definitely feel like a princess in this one! It is worked vertically for the lovely lines in the front and styled with a subtle, gradual A-line to the hem. An easy, simple lace collar completes the look. The pattern is written for little girls, sizes 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Note that these are actual industry-standard sizes, not ages. We understand that a lot of 3-year-olds wear the size 2 and the same holds true for the remaining sizes. For instance, a 12-year-old may wear the size 10.

The dress is worked in one piece and joined with a unique crocheted joining and the sleeves are worked separately. Moda Dea Fashionista is used for a lovely luster reminscent of the luster in velvet. When substituting yarns, it is a worsted weight, size 4 yarn. With a finer yarn, I have stitched the collar and trim around the wrists and hem. Royale Fashion 3 thread was used. Suitable substitutes are Red Heart Lustersheen, Patons Grace and Bernat Cool Crochet.
